Swarovski EL FieldPro 10x42
Naturally, Swarovski's flagship line comes in a 10 x42 format as well, and it's as good as expected. The open bridge design premiered by Swarovski over a decade ago isn’t going away any time soon because of the excellent ergonomics. As expected, when you’re perusing the top shelf, the quality is evident in every part of the construction. Improvements over the past few years included field-flattener lenses for edge-to-edge sharpness, a secondary diopter lock, and readily removeable eyecups for thorough cleaning. While a 10x42 isn’t most folk’s first choice for butterflying, these focus down to a Grasshopper-Sparrow-at-your- toes 4.9 feet.
