Manfrotto 128RC QR Head
Manfrotto's 128RC head is the workhorse of the industry; a simple, durable, smooth panning head that, through ever-improving iterations, has been serving birders for more than thirty years. Two adjustable knobs adjust tension for easy motion, no matter what the temperature. Once set, one hand on the arm gives you smooth, fluid panning with no skips or jerks. It can find and follow birds on the ground or in the air with ease that borders on afterthought. The quick-release plate (included) makes it easy to attach and detach your scope. NOTE: Swarovski ATS/STS scope bases, Zeiss Gavia and Harpia scopes, and the black-armored Leica APO Televid bases fit directly into this head with no need for the quick release plate. The head has a small brass locking-lever that works whether you are using the QR plate or have installed the scope directly; remember to use it!
