Product Overview
Kowa YFII 8x30
Perfect for beginners and children, the Kowa YFII 8x30s is great for those who want a little more magnification than their 6x cousin. They're easy to use and lightweight while maintaining a wide (397 feet at 1,000 yards) field of view. Nor will the image quality disappoint, either. Kowa's KR coating protects the lenses from dirt so that fingerprints or oil can easily be removed with proper lens cleaning techniques. Optics are dry nitrogen purged and waterproof to prevent internal fogging. Twist-up multi-step eye cups allow customization for easy viewing even when wearing eyeglasses. Caveat: the close focus of about 16 feet is fine for most birding, but not for butterflies.
