Kowa SV 10x25

Kowa's SV 10x25 is the highest power version of their compact 25 mm series. All lenses and prisms of the SV series are fully multi-coated. The double hinge makes these fold up small enough to fit in a pocket. Even though costs were minimized, don’t confuse the Kowa SV compacts with other cheaper brands; the superior optical performance was maintained without sacrificing critical features like being waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas. One note is that the 12 mm eye relief is fine if you’re not wearing glasses, but if you do, consider the 8x25. Inexpensive, compact, and lightweight, this is the ideal option for hiking, stowing in the glove box of your car, keeping in your jacket pocket when birding isn’t the primary goal.
