Kowa Prominar 88mm w/25-60x
Long considered the reference standard (against which other scopes were judged), Kowa's Flagship model remains one of the top tier spotting scopes on the market and should be compared against the very best models of any brand. The TSN-880 series feature Kowa's proprietary PROMINAR® Pure Fluorite Crystal lenses, which virtually eliminate chromatic aberration. Bright and sharp, the high quality of the image is especially noticeable at higher powers. The scopes have a lightweight magnesium alloy body that is dry nitrogen-charged and waterproof to JIS Class 7. The rugged structure tolerates the severest conditions and provides the highest level of confidence. The most popular eyepiece by far is the TE-11WE 25-60x, which offers a wide field of view. The closest competitors are the Swarovski ATX 85 & 95 and the Zeiss Harpia 85 and 95.
