Hawke Sport Optics Endurance ED 20-60x68 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing)
The Endurance ED series includes Hawke's top-of-the-line spotting scope models. The Endurance ED 20-60x68 is the second largest of the four models yet offers a nice balance of light-gathering ability and weight. Though it has a 68 mm objective, it's about the size and weight of most 60 mm scopes. That allows for a lighter tripod, and therefore a lighter kit overall. The ED glass and dielectric prism coatings produce excellent resolution and reduction in chromatic aberration; it remains nicely sharp nearly to 60x, a claim which few scopes at twice the price can make. I will admit I'd prefer a wider field of view, but I think you'll appreciate the crisp image!
