Zeiss Victory Harpia 95mm w/23-70x

Zeiss replaced their classic, high end Diascopes with the wholly new Victory Harpia Models. The Zeiss Victory Harpia 23-70x95 retains the Diascope's dual focus, but in one large, barrel (helical) focus ring instead of two knobs. Fine focus is default; if you move far in either direction, the higher geared fast focus kick in. [I took to this like a fish to water; a few users don’t care for it.] The zoom ring is adjacent to the focus ring on the barrel, so the scope can be operated with one-hand. Unexpectedly, the zoom ring is labeled 1-3 at ½ intervals (1.5, 2.0, etc.); keeping in mind the 23x-70x zoom range, 1.5x = 34.5x, 2x = 46x and so on. At 23x you have a panoramic 193’ (@ 1,000 yards) field of view. Even at the maximum 70x the FOV feels “relaxed” and the view remains tack sharp. In short, the Victory Harpia is absolutely a top-shelf contender.
