For a dozen years, the Zeiss Conquest HD has offered premium quality optics at less than half the price of the flagship models. The new HDX models continue with the same excellent optical configuration, but offer improved eyecups (now user-replaceable), a locking diopter, "grippier" rubber armoring, and all in a package nearly three ounces lighter. And they've kept the prices the same as in 2012, which makes the Conquest HDX an even better deal!
The 8x42 HDX is a great choice for viewers who like a wide field of view, nice depth of field for viewing in woods or brush, and a compact package that's easy to carry.
