Vortex Razor HD 8x42
Until the Fall 2019 launch of the Razor UHD, the Razor HD 8x42 was Vortex's top-of-the-line. It is still well worth consideration. It has a field of view and close focus which work for both birding and butterflying. Index matched lenses and HD objective lens elements create an APO system for true-to-nature colors and crisp images. You’ll appreciate details like the all-metal eyecup construction, pop-up locking right diopter, and a smooth, well balanced focus wheel. The strong and light magnesium alloy body inspires confidence without undue heft. If you’re looking in the thousand-dollar range, be sure to look through a Razor HD.
