Leica Ultravid HD Plus 10x42

The Leica 10x42 Ultravid HD-PLUS was in Leica flagship line until the Noctivids were released, and it should still be considered among the top shelf optics. Leica HDC coatings on all lenses, prisms with Leica HighLux System coatings and phase correcting coatings, and Schott HT Glass offer higher light transmission and bright, true color, high contrast images. Aqua-Dura coatings on external lens surfaces allow the lenses to shed water like a ducks’ back. The HD-PLUS 42 mm models are compact for full size binoculars and afford ergonomic handling and a steady grip. A 55 - 74 mm IPD range fits the bill for nearly everyone. They provide a basic, 336-foot field of view and the close focus – fine for birding, is 9.5 feet. The 16 mm eye relief works for most eyeglass wearers.
