Hawke Sport Optics 8x42 Endurance ED Binoculars
The Endurance ED represents Hawke's mid-range, a step up from both the Vantage and Nature Trek models and just below their flagship Frontier series. Much of the difference between these series seems to be in "fit-and-finish", i.e. eyecups, exterior of the focus knob and so forth. The 399' field of view is significantly better than a Nikon Monarch M5 (though it's a couple ounces heavier), and the quality of the optical image is very competitive in the under-$500-range.
