Leica Ultravid 8x20
The dream: a binocular that is always with you, anytime and anyplace on Planet Earth. Optics that shrug off whatever conditions you encounter but are light enough to wonder if they’re there. A Leica Ultravid 8x20 is as small as they come. An 8x20 has the same 2.5 mm exit pupil as a 10x25 but offers a wider 341-foot field of view just like a standard size optic. Cheap compacts just aren’t sharp. A tiny 8x20 Ultravid is still a Leica. It offers phase correcting prism coatings and High Lux System coatings on aspherical lenses fixed in a rubber-armored, nitrogen-filled, aluminum housing that’s just 8.5 ounces. The Ultravid 8x20 is waterproof to 16.5 feet, and close focusses to 7.2 feet. And with 15 mm of eye relief and an IPD range of 34 – 74 mm, they’ll fit you and your granddaughter too.
